2022 OBA Certification

Hosted by Quinte Royals Baseball Association

All certification for umpires will be virtual for 2022

Some in person training will be announced in the spring for those interested

Fee for level 1 $25, Fee for level 2 $45

Both levels will be available online in April 2022

2022 ONLY, umpires who did not certify during the pandemic (2020 or 2021) are eligible to return to umpiring based on your 2019 level.  Ordinarily, umpires who miss a year of certification drop down one level.

Example-if you were a level 1.2 umpire in 2019 and didn’t register during the pandemic, you may register for a level 2 clinic and would be certified as a level 2.1 for 2022

If you were a level 2.2 umpire in 2019 and didn’t register during the pandemic, you may register for a level 2 clinic and would be certified as a level 2.3 umpire for 2022.

Once the clinics are available, go to https://www.baseballontario.com/Umpires/Club/UmpireClinicMM.aspx?TopMenuID=10006&menuID=392 and search for the Quinte Baseball Association clinic.  Register for our clinic and once approved, Baseball Ontario will provide a login and password to the registered umpire.  This will enable the umpire to complete the required online e-learning modules.

Certified umpires can work our house league and rep games earning $25 to $60 per game.

Once registration is open, please register and in order to complete your registration you MUST send an EMT for the cost of the clinic to qrtreasurer@gmail.com and STATE IN THE MESSAGE THE NAME OF THE UMPIRE.

Certification will not be processed without payment
